First Choice's Fundraiser for Pasitos de Luz, a Great Success

James Allen, First Choice’s Puerto Vallarta Resort Supervisor, in a recent message, says thank you to “all of you that supported the Fund raising events for the ‘Pasitos de Luz’ Charity” over the fortnight of 14th October 2006 - 28th October 2006. All in all the events were a great success, in both promoting the Charity itself and raising as much money as possible for this great cause! At the final count, $1251.21 USD was raised for the Charity.
A special thank you goes to Vallarta Adventures for donating a Sierra Madre Jeep on Sunday the 22nd October. It was a very generous offer, and it was really appreciated by both the guests that participated and the final sum raised.
The Decameron Hotel also received the appreciation of all involved, “for all the efforts that they went to” on the 26th October, including the great standard of their pitch, the valuable time donated by their animation staff, refreshments “and the football lessons handed down to us mere mortals”. The Football tournament was run very professionally and a great afternoon was had by all (especially the kids!).
In his message, James Allen also thanks the Riu for their donations of refreshments and the sterling effort on the pitch finishing in a well earned 2nd place.
FC Puerto Vallarta played well in spirit, however their bodies somewhat let them down. We ended up in 3rd place, for the record one place above the Hotel Beds Team! In the office, he says on closing, “we are still talking about the missed penalty by Señor ‘I couldn’t hit a barn door’ Garrido!”
Hopefully next year the participation will be greater, and so will the final sum to that we generate.
